Flowrox Oy today announced it has acquired the Swedish filtration technology firm NovaTek AB, complementing it’s product offering of filter maintenance and spare parts services, and a growing variety of automation and accompanying services.

“Flowrox aims to grow not only its existing core, valves and pumps business, but also selected strategic growth areas,” said Simo Manninen, vice president of marketing at Flowrox. “With the acquisition of NovaTek, we are seeking to grow in the solid/liquid separation.”

NovaTek filters are used in metallurgical industries to filter cadmium, cobalt, chlorine, copper and selenium. They can also be used for several other applications, such as polishing of pickling acids in steel industry, pigment separation and washing, and in power plants in the separation of gypsum.

“Flowrox was a natural choice to become a new home for NovaTek filters,” Catarina and Robert Dellham, owners of NovaTek, said in a joint statement. “Our customers will continue to receive the same products and services as before. After the acquisition, they will benefit from Flowrox’s wide range of other suitable products. Another advantage is Flowrox’s worldwide sales and service network with local experts close to the customers. We are convinced Flowrox is the best successor to the business that our father Lars Dellham created.”

Headquartered in Finland, the main focus of Flowrox is on shut-off, controlling, handling demanding media and liquid/solid separation. Its products and services are enhanced with IIoT solutions and intelligent systems, serving a number of process industry applications, especially in mining, mineral, energy and environmental industries.
