Allen Kirkpatrick is the executive director for the Canadian Corrugated & Containerboard Association (CCCA).
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the CCCA has lobbied the government to acknowledge the cardboard packaging supply chain as an essential service, and connected its members with information on safety protocols and operating procedures.
Kirkpatrick explains how the containerboard industry has been affected by the pandemic and how they’re handling sanitization of their products and facilities. He also discusses new technologies converters and roll-stock producers should be aware of, and how the pulp and paper industry can bring more public awareness to Canada’s use of recycled fibre.
