SignalFire Wireless Telemetry introduces the new DIN Gateway V2 – a 900 mHz wireless gateway with an integrated I/O capability for easy network connectivity of wireless and wired sensors, integrated Ethernet and built-in automation.

This DIN Gateway V2 features two digital Inputs, two digital outputs, three analog inputs and an optional gateway output module with eight analog and two digital outputs.

The 3 analog inputs are useable for any measurement or control device while the digital outputs are useable for annunciation or basic on/off applications. This edge computing type capability in the wireless gateway enables discrete automation functionality.

This enhanced gateway, designed for Class 1 Division 2 Groups C and D locations, supports wireless configuration up to 240 remote nodes at three-plus mile typical range and interfaces via RS-232 Modbus RTU or Modbus-TCP (Ethernet). This gateway enables wireless configuration of remote nodes and HART devices via PACTware® or Radar Master and automatically configures as a star or mesh network.

The compact DIN mount gateway features low power consumption, integrated high-gain 5dB omnidirectional antenna and 500 mW radio operating at 902-928 MHz license-free ISM band. The optional expansion output module provides an additional eight analog outputs and two digital outputs. The DIN Gateway V2 is now available for immediate shipment.

“The new DIN Gateway V2 redefines the functionality of a wireless gateway as it integrates automation and integrated I/O. This innovative gateway adds three capabilities unique to a typical gateway; ability to accept wireless and direct wired inputs, automation including 2DI, 2DO and 3AI plus and an expansion port for the optional output module providing eight analog outputs and two digital outputs into a DIN mounted package,” says Sandro Esposito, VP Sales and Marketing.
