Larson Electronics has announced the release of an explosion proof motor for use in Class I, Division 1 hazardous locations. This unit is compatible with 230V AC single phase 50Hz and offers 1.6 full-load amps at high. This unit features a NEMA 56 motor and Class F insulation.
The EXP-MTR-1P-230-50HZ-1HP-1.8K-56C explosion proof motor is rated for use in Class I, Division 1, Groups C and D; and Class II, Division 1, Groups F and G hazardous locations. This unit carries a T3 temperature rating and can generate 1,750 RPM. The motor in this unit is totally enclosed and fan cooled. This fractional explosion proof motor carries an IP55 rating and an ambient temperature rating of 50˚C.
Larson Electronics’ explosion proof motor comes with aluminum endshields and a 12” by 12” by 8” NEMA-rated explosion proof box for completing electrical connections. This motor features a C-face flange and foot mounting for supporting the motor.
The front face of the motor features threaded mounting holes for easy installation. Suitable applications include hazardous and flammable locations, industrial facilities, and more.
