Explosion-proof 15 kVA power distribution station
Larson Electronics has announced the release of an explosion-proof, temporary and portable power distribution station that converts a three-phase 600V AC electrical current into three-phase 208Y/120V AC.
This explosion-proof power distribution station allows operators the ability to safely tap into and distribute 600V AC power from generators and direct grid power.
The EP-MGL-600V-15KVA-208Y.120V-1X60A-4X30A-2X20A temporary power distribution system allows operators to power their 120V equipment from a single system. The primary side gives operators the ability to connect three-phase 600V line-in power using a customer-provided cord and a secondary side that gives access to two explosion-proof receptacles for 120V equipment.
All receptacles on this unit are equipped with weatherproof covers.
Larson Electronics’ power distribution system is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups B and C; and Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F and G hazardous locations. The transformer is grounded to the frame via a grounding lug that is provided. A customer-provided, line-in cord brings three-phase 600V power to the primary 30-amp three-phase 600V explosion-proof disconnect that features three 20-amp time-delay fuses and passes power to the 15 kVA transformer.
This transformer converts three-phase 600V to 208Y/120V 60Hz and passes the current to the secondary panel, which feeds a NEMA-rated 100-amp three-phase 208Y/120V main circuit breaker panel featuring two 20-amp 1-pole 125V breakers protecting two 125V explosion-proof receptacles. The main breaker panel features one 60-amp 3-pole 250V, three 30-amp 2-pole 250V and one 30-amp 1-pole 125V breakers.
Suitable applications include indoor or outdoor use, construction sites, plant maintenance and turnarounds, and more.
