Larson Electronics has announced the release of an explosion proof ethanol sensor for use in Class I, Division 1 hazardous locations. This device is a toxic gas transmitter fitted with a sensor that provides the user with a unique sensor response testing system. This system features an LCD graphics display and internal data logger.
The EXP-SNR-TG-EC-ITS-ALG-E200 explosion proof ethanol sensor is configured to detect ethanol vapours 0-200 ppm and comes equipped with an electrochemical transmitter as well as a sensor holder and non-digital output. This sensor includes an internal data logger that stores measured gas values, which can be viewed on the LCD screen or downloaded using the interface. Operators have the ability to calibrate, view data, set alarms and do other tasks with a magnetic tool eliminating the need to open the sensor enclosure.
Larson Electronics’ explosion proof ethanol sensor allows the operator to enable password protection and comes with a scalable 4-20 mA programmable output range. This device features three internal alarm relay transmitters and is used to detect ethanol gases. The device houses a sensor, amplifier and memory module and can be calibrated independently. This unit is ideal for detecting gas leaks and other hazardous emissions while acting as a control system for oil rigs, manufacturing processes and other hazardous locations.
