Larson Electronics has announced the release of an explosion proof thermostat designed for temperature control in industrial facilities where flammable gases, vapours or dust may be present. This unit can be adjusted using a set point knob system powered by an SPDT snap action switch.
The EXP-TSTAT-120.480-86F-AXC.1.24V explosion proof thermostat is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups C and D; Class I, Zones 1 and 2, Groups IIA and IIB; Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F and G; Class II, Division 2, Groups F and G; and Class III hazardous locations. This thermostat features a temperature limit range of -49˚F to 176˚F and is rated at 480V AC maximum with an auxiliary contact that allows 24V DC input.
Larson Electronics’ explosion proof thermostat allows operators to use an adjustable set point knob to configure the device at a range of 36˚F and 82˚F. This unit is made of die-cast and corrosion resistant components for added durability. This unit does not contain any exposed copper, brass or mercury. This thermostat must be positioned at least five feet above the ground in hazardous locations and is suitable for use in refineries, chemical plants, storage facilities, and more.
