Eriez now offers quick shipping on its two newest Metal Detector/Magnetic Separator “Double Team” Systems to meet customers’ most urgent requirements for protection against ferrous and nonferrous metal contamination. These powerful and compact systems provide cost-saving benefits and produce as close to a perfect product yield as possible.

For wet processes, standard 2, 3 and 4-inch Magnetic B Trap/Xtreme Liquid Line Metal Detector systems are available for quick shipping. In this configuration, the magnet removes the ferrous contamination from the pumped liquid product, improving product quality and minimizing rejected material from the downstream metal detector with automatic rejection.  The metal detector is left to focus on detecting and rejecting non-magnetic tramp metals such as aluminum and stainless steel.

For dry/free flowing processes, Eriez offers standard 4, 6, 8 and 10-inch Magnetic Grate-in-Housing/Xtreme Vertical Metal Detector systems for quick shipping. In this arrangement, the magnet removes the ferrous contamination from the gravity-dropped material, thus enhancing product quality and reducing rejected material from the downstream metal detector with auto reject. The metal detector’s primary function is to detect and reject non-magnetic tramp metals including aluminum and stainless steel.

“We developed these systems as part of our company’s ongoing efforts to expand our product lines in order to provide the most comprehensive solutions for our customers.” says Technical Sales Representative Linda Mioduszewski, “These systems arrive ready for hassle-free, immediate installation–even in areas with limited space–and don’t require any expensive modifications to accommodate shoots and transitions.”

According to Eriez, the “Double Team” approach minimizes loss of good product, improves the overall efficiency of a customer’s process and helps ensurecompliance with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) programs and regulations set forth by various federal agencies as well as customer quality guidelines. These systems are ideal for a wide range of applications, including food processing, packaging, plastics/rubber and more.
