Larson Electronics has announced the release of an explosion proof two-horsepower motor for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2 hazardous locations.
This motor is compatible with 115/230V AC single-phase 60Hz and offers 9.8 FLA. This Class F insulation rated motor features a NEMA 56H motor frame and can be installed with industrial systems via an integrated mounting foot and C-face flange.
The EXP-MTR-1P-115.230-2HP-3.6K-56HC fractional explosion proof two-horsepower motor is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups C and D; and Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F, and G hazardous locations. This unit is thermally protected and operates with 115/230V AC single-phase 60Hz. This unit has a two-horsepower motor that offers 9.8 full-load amps and 4.4 amps of non-load current. This motor can generate 3,450 RPM and provides 3 lbs ft. of torque with 120 per cent locked rotor torque and 250 per cent break down torque.
Larson Electronics’ explosion proof 2-horsepower motor is fully enclosed and fan cooled. This IP55-rated explosion proof motor has an ambient temperature rating of 50˚C and is equipped with aluminum endshields. This unit comes equipped with 24 inches of +2/-0 leads for electrical connections and an unassembled aluminum conduit box.
This unit contains C-face flange and foot mounting components and threaded mounting holes for easy installation. Suitable applications include hazardous locations, industrial facilities, food processing, and more.
